I think they are just a bad batch of Futaba servos i got, one of it gets hot just by connecting it to the receiver with the battery plugged in. Its just the weirdest batch i got for some reason.

yup, i used the shims that came with the v2...

yup, i used the shims that came with the v2 differential gear set. one shim for each of the planetary gears and 1 larger shim beneath the sun gear.
