The way I read it is that if you use DSM across the board then no rebinding. If you use DSM2 across the board then no rebinding, but if you mix then you rebind.

Check your radio. If it says dsm2 then any dsm or dsm2 surface rx will work. If it only says dsm then you can only use dsm rx's as dsm2 WILL NOT work.
