Overheated ESC and cool motor usually means you're way under geared....I'm not familiar with the SCTE, so you need to check the Final Drive Ratio you're running and compare it to the information in...

Watch out for going over 22 on the pinion with an 87 spur because it might not fit....the motor plate will only allow the pinion to slide back so far....you might get a 23 in there with the 87 spur,...

No Problem

It's all about Final Drive Ratios (FDR)......check the SC10 manual for these recommended settings...but through my experience so far, you can run this setup using the FDRs from 11.3:1...

See, that's what I'm afraid of, at my gearing , the motor just gets warm--even after 2 3300 packs ran back to back.....the ESC is not overheated, but hotter than I like it too--at the end of the 2nd...
