Is there any benefit to using the plastic spur...

Is there any benefit to using the plastic spur besides it being less noisy? I would think it would get damaged really easily with the opening at the bottom of the chassis.

I am using a 1900kv 4 pole Turnigy motor and a 150amp Hobbywing ESC geared 46/14 and it rips! Temps are about 150 on the motor running dirt and grass and 110 at the speedo and about 90-100 degrees...

So is the standard motor/esc setup a 4s battery with a 1800kv-2100kv motor the hot ticket with these? Does anyone run them with 3s and maybe a little higher kv motor? Or even a 2s with say a 4600kv...
