The reason why they are designed to use stick packs because in Japan, stick pack is most commonly use. They rarely use side by side, except for extreme competition.

I am glad that Tamiya came up with something unique, a Direct Drive Touring chassis.

I don't think the stock version will have all those Blue parts.
