So you are right. Atomic BZ is the first 1/28 belt driven. I apologise. It is also smaller than the Mini-z, funny they can use same bodies.

X-Power IMT (not IDT) was the first serious car with belt transmission on this scale.

Sadly you can't see many of those because of the price tag.

Would love to have more ESC options for my AMZ,...
