Why on Earth are you driving that far in reverse for it to even be an issue?

Go 30 mph in reverse in your REAL car, it'll do the same thing.

RC cars are built to go forward. Not backward.

Not that it really accounts for the motor, but these batteries feed ThunderbirdJunkie's Sidewinder 4600 (which SHOULD draw more current) just fine.
