That is exactly why the increased the center diff size in the MP9. 5k oils were cooking off in longer mains. I still have that problem in my front and rear diffs. Just service them more often.

It is a front/rear diff with plastic spur. Don't think that came with the kit. Some people do it because the plastic spur is quieter. I saved about 20grams by doing the same thing.

I would get the TKI3 roller as long as it is in good condition. I wouldn't pay more than $300-350. You'll have to spend another $125-150 for the conversion.

That's for a nitro kit. Not a perfect match for the MP9E. You'll have left over screws and yet some screws will not have a replacement. Larger screws like shock mount, king pin, and wheel hub...

KYOIF147 (44t) and KYOIF148 (46t) will fit but...

KYOIF147 (44t) and KYOIF148 (46t) will fit but use KYOIF403 (MP9 f/r diff case), for the center diff. Diff internals are the same.

The lightweight shock standoffs only saved me 5g.
