bashing you may be fixing it quite a bit, would go with RPM front and rear arms for sure with bashing. If you keep it up shouldn't be a problem, easy to fix stuff and cheap.

Use the large battery and see if your times improve. Like said above, make changes depending on more steering to the front and more traction to the back.

If Stadium Truck is a big class at your track check that first, I think motor and esc will work and get you going. Practice is the biggest thing, a lot of laps.

Depends are your class, 17.5 or 13.5 or Mod 6.5-7.5 I like the a Reedy and Killshots. I use LRP ESC's. I know Orion and Tekin stuff is good too.

My son drives the T4.2 better than his T4.1 which had big bores, only big change was the new arms. I think they are good in the T.
