540 4 poles fit fine in the 42mm mount, you can only solder wires from the back side of the motor though. I ran a 3400kv motor with the 3s yesterday geared 14/46 it had more than enough speed....

I don't think at that weight it will be a problem for a sc 4pole on 3s, when you consider the tekno sc runs fine on 2s and is basically the eb48 and I know the eb 48 is still a rocket ship on 3s...

If you want to try something, I run a 3400kv hobbywing sc motor on 3s and to be honest the 4s cars cant get anywhere near it. It delivers the power so smoothly and just keeps on pulling,
