I now use 29/78 gearing and hit a speed in the low to mid 40's still with...

I've had around 50 uses on mine, and it's doing me proud. It's geared to the hill too (29/78 in a Firestorm) so it's not having an easy ride.
I like it that much that i've ordered a second one for...

I think it would be a bit risky as the esc gets rather hot with the motor geared high in a Firestorm running on 2s.
Imo, stick to 2s in a heavy short course truck.
If you must use 3s, get a fan and...

Had around 40 runs out of mine, so far so good.
Only problem I had was the sticker peeling off one side resulting in the esc unclipping itself in half. Luckily it clipped back together.
They really...

I use the combo' in a Firestorm which is similar in weight and size to the Rustler.
I've never tried it on 3s as i'm geared at something like 28/78 on 2s and hitting mid 40s.
As the Rustler is...

Man, this combo' is sick, it really is. It was fast on my old lipo but it's now unreal.
Just bought myself a new Lipo as my other was getting a bit tired and it's really woken this thing up.
My E...

It really is the perfect setup imo.
Checked the motor this evening and...

All good info', cheers Guys.
I also notice that the esc gets hotter quicker than others that I have. It also cools down very quickly at a rate of about 2-3F every 3 seconds or so.
Guess the heat...

At first, I geared it 21/87 but it was dog slow.
I then geared 27/78 (fdr 7.5:1) and...

I'll buy some of each...
