They did, but only for a few crash free laps. After that, they got worn fast....
Now I am back to polished steel pins.... I doubt that any other material would be as successful there as the steel...

1700 gram was my tc4's original rtr weight with nimh 4200 packs before I put it on a crazy diet to get it down under 1350grams with positive results.... Good luck.....
I did have to put back a few...
