As far as motor, I think a 2.5t tekin will do just fine.... There is One guy that did run a 2.5t on 3S, and got 84.2mph on youtube...good luck....

The aluminum shaft will wobble alot at 50+mph, but it can be done with steel outdrives only in the rear, foam Tires(preferrably nitro), and shim your diffs tight.... I think 80mph is the real...
