Yes. First thing I did was try a new sensor wire. Motor is out in the mail now. Some folks at the track have had a similar issue and assured me Novak will take care of it. Mostly I am just irritated...

I am using an lrp sxx ESC. timing and boost, etc, are all turned down to one. Running an 18 tooth pinion with an 84 tooth spur. Motor did not overheat, no free revving, etc.

Nope. Not the esc, there was a rather nasty...

Nope. Not the esc, there was a rather nasty grinding/crunching sound from the motor as well.
