The stuff I'm using is called Krylon Workable Fixative. It's in a spray can, and dries pretty quickly. It does have some nasty ingredients, so make sure you use it only in a VERY well ventilated...

I suppose it's possible, but i've never tried anything like that. I did notice spray cans of contact adhesive at the art supply store when I went to buy the clear overcoat, so it might work...
