1.5mm allen key is 1.7mm from corner to the opposite corner, flat side to the opposite flat side is 1.5mm. It's too big to fit into the hole.

Why don't you get the aluminium knuckle, much less problem with stripping. Speed model make some cheap one. I think US$16...
