I wonder too, if drilling a new hole further forward in the knuckle may be an alternative too. Not to weaken the ackerman plate?

If I remember right, it fit right on, the only grinding was to the back part of it where the ZX5 front upper deck screwed to it. But it was a few years ago. It wasn't that bad of a mod to do at all.

Yeah, on black carpet with the Tamiya tires I had to glue the front sidewalls and and run the wide, 6mm silver hexes. Traction rolling can still come up. Play with how much of the tires you compound.

Depending on the pill inserts used, the rear width changes. So the driveshafts will be closer at a narrower rear setting. Needs to have that variation for tuning options.
