Just want to emphasize the obvious on drilling the shock caps. This should be done prior to assembly, off the shock. I have seen people try to drill a assembled shock only to damage the bladder.

The top is the original rocker arm, the lower is the newer version. The original used one flanged and one none flanged bearing. The upgraded one uses flanged bearings on both sides. Same geometry....
