Havent tried the laydown yet. The layback is working really well for me right now on pretty high bite clay so unless something changes, I might not even get the laydown.

On the b6d it was to compensate for weight under motor when running a laydown. Basically for more rear traction. With the layback on the b6d.1 it's not necessary imo.

Have not built mine yet but I did build a b6.1d and overall it was much nicer than the B6. Specifically the fit and finish of the plastic. I assume the truck will be the same. I'll start building...

The chassis is not the same. B6.1 is a tiny bit shorter. It just doesn't make sense to convert. You'd have to spend way too much money to get it the same as the new car. And the new car feels way...
