I'll check out Maclan. I think a big weakness in the connector and how the wires are attached to it. I suspect failure is due to stressing those individual wire connections.

Seriously - ran the car, no problems, 2-hrs later tried to run it again and it was no go. Motor made a strange sound and got super hot in seconds. New wire fixed the issue...

So what I originally thought was a lousy motor (and before that, a lousy transmitter) turns out to be a lousy, glitchy, HW xr10 pro 80a ESC.

When under load and turning right, the car "glitches"....

I'm thinking about adding a 30g brass bulkhead. However, steering is not a problem, traction is high....
