It's a direct drop-in if running MM, if running RM you'll either need the type B rear braces or modify the existing ones due to the sway bar mount being molded into the new case.

Screws are flat head 2x10(TD704008), washers are 5x10x0.8mm(TD709001) and 4x8x0.3mm(TD709002) and the E-Clips have an internal diameter of 4mm(TD710001).

Yes, it could be the cause of your problem. The easiest way to check is to remove your slipper plates and push/pull the layshaft to check for excess play. I did a quick guide with more details here...

Part # is TD601022 or TDR601022 (depending where you order it) or you can use any 5x8x2.5mm...
