Default Which lathe is better??

intend to get my first lathe..so need some help on which to choose..
Orion quick set lathe
Hudy advance lathe
Team cobra pro lathe
Trinity tru lathe
or any other lathe to intro?? thanks.

I've used the Orion and Hudy. Orion is a nice lathe, but I would buy the Hudy if money isn't a concern. Hudy products are second to none.

The advanced lathe runs a direct pulley off of the motor that runs the belt to spin the armature, shown in the picture below...

The tech lathe runs a pulley off the motor to another pulley that spins the armature with two belts instead of one, shown below...

any differences in e quality of the cut?? some pple do sae a cobra cuts better than a hudy. true?

I can't honestly tell you if the Hudy Advanced or Tech lathe is better because I've only used the Tech lathe, but I've never had problems with it. About the cobra lathe, I used one from another guy at the track and it did cut very smooth, and I believe better than my hudy. Hope this helps.
