newbie needs pro advise (nitro xb8.21 engine)
hi ok i am having trouble with my .21 sh engine yes the common scenario of stalling, i cant get it to go more than 1/2 a tank with out it stalling with the cover on it , i can manage to get it tuned right to accelerate smoothly with max torque nice and thick smoke from exhaust but then about 1/2 tank or so it will stall when accelerating and braking thren accelerating again (once i put the cover on it seems to struggle for some reason (i have recently cut the windscreen from the body but still cant seem to get the tuning right to run smoothly for a full tank or two. is there any rule of thumb i can go by.
the settings are as follows the low speed needle is about 4 turns out from closed and the high speed needle is open about 3- 3 1/4 turns out from closed
also the low speed needle comes out from the high end hole side about
2.5mm in the carburretor when full throttle (fully open air intake)
is there a general rule of thumb in this part aswell where the low speed needle comes out from the opposite hole in the carburretor when throttle is fully open.

Replace your glowplug in the heat range that best suits your engine.
Rule of thumb: (for future reference)
Smaller engines favour hotter plugs.EG .12 .15 .18
Larger engines favour colder plugs.EG .21 .25 .28
Lower nitro content requires that you use a hotter glowplug.
Higher nitro content requires that you use a colder glowplug.
Could you further elaborate on this? I'm not quite sure what you mean.
