Questions?? Engine reviews/recommandations

Hi

i'm trying to find a good new motor without burning my credit card.
this would be a beginning motor, until one day i decide to take something better if needed.

i've decided to go for a .21 class engine.

found a few of them on ebay (i don't really have decent hobby stores where i live) :

- ebay. com/itm/New-GO-ENGINE-21-nitro-racing-engine-motor-for-1-8-Truck-Buggy-/171363265389?hash=item27e60beb6d:g:IYoAAOSw9N1V1O4 S

- ebay. com/itm/Alpha-21-3P-Off-Road-Pull-Start-Engine-RC-WillPower-Off-Road-Nitro-1-8-Buggy-/191105401085?hash=item2c7ec500fd:g:4IgAAOSwBahVJ3U i

- ebay. com/itm/JQ-Products-THE-Car-Competition-1-8-Buggy-Alpha-Pullstart-21-Nitro-Engine-/221856310694?hash=item33a7aaa5a6:g:HcYAAOSwMmBV0kC N

- ebay. com/itm/HB-New-ARGUS-21-nitro-racing-engine-motor-for-1-8-Truck-Buggy-/171363257726?hash=item27e60bcd7e:g:x04AAOSwo8hTpCE L

anyone with good or bad reviews on those ? any recommandations ? or am i mistaken completely ?

thanks for your help !

Does it have to be a pull start motor?

pullstart seemed a good choice for avoiding starter box, or other rotostart, as beginner was a keyword.

what does your question implies ?

It will be mostly for fun running around in some dirt but from time to time i'll go to a track and maybe some local racing, but that would be the exception...

I'd say most those engines are made in Taiwan or perhaps China, take the cheapest options, experiment with tune, get a better idea of what you really want from an engine and you might be pleasantly surprised how well it runs.

Use good fuel and focus on the run-in before you take it out for a WOT run.

PS: As long as it's NEW!

Hi Guys

i ordered this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/TrackStar-SE...4AAOSwnH1WXWwA

and just received it a few days ago.

i made a mistake i was originally looking for the .21 version but hey... as long as it makes my car run

following this page : http://ezrc.blogspot.co.il/p/engines.html

i completely disassembled it and had the surprise to find little particles of aluminium inside, i think it comes from the machining of the parts...
the guy on the page says that 50% of the time he found little surprises inside, and he was not wrong.

so anyway i cleaned it, oiled it, reassembled it using sealant and silicon like he did, now i just need to receive my radio and i should be able to test it.

i'll let you know for those interested, or another newbie looking for review of this engine
