And MANY MANY Thanks to "RCTECH" web page
Ok, Now I see what you have, & yes, that SCT Pro setup should work VERY well(though perhaps the 4000kv motor in the C2 option might be closest to the kind of top end you got from the brushed motor, with similar gearing, but that's just a guess on my part). But overall, I think that setup should be strong & reliable(& I'm certainly on the Hobbywing bandwagon, have 4 of their ESC's myself, & I love them, been very smooth, strong & reliable for me)....

Good, glad things are getting better for you(& I know what you mean about the rain, there's a track in OKC getting ready to open, but they still need to bring in the dirt, & to do so they need to wait for a calm weather window to open up to ship it to the track, figures it'd happen with us getting so much rain, huh?). Now, about the program box, if it's like mine, then you just need a battery plugged into the ESC(& the program box will get its power from the ESC, just like a servo would), & once the battery's plugged in, just plug in the box, then turn on the ESC, & the box should power up too(then you'd hit either the Return/Item or the OK button to start the data connection to the ESC), & when using its PC connection software, do it the same, but also connect the Micro USB cable to the box, then the box to the ESC & then the battery & power it up like before(& I believe the PC interface will give you access to everything from there. Oh, & if you want to soften its acceleration(or make it punchier), you can do either from the Throttle Punch menu, just tailor it to your comfort level(when I'm racing in a spec class, I'll tend to max out the punch setting, but for mod motors I'll keep it in the middle of the adjustment range at first, then adjust if needed). Also, if you get confused along the way, there are also some YouTube videos that can help see what to do(that's how I picked it up, just go there & do a search for things like "Programming a Hobbywing ESC" & you should find some good tutorials, they definitely helped me get used to it)....

As long as you make sure it fully dries, you shouldn't have too much trouble with rust, but to be safe, there are a couple of items that can help. One is what we refer to as motor spray(like this one: http://gshobby.com/content/duratrax-...y-cleaner-12oz ), that does a good job of removing dirt from electronic components without leaving residue, & some light bearing oil(like this: http://gshobby.com/node/226180 )for the bearings should keep them lubed & free from corrosion....
