Default 5.8 Ghz transmitter & receiver

I'm trying to help my grandson put a camera on his rc car, I bought a 5.8 Ghz transmitter and receiver, the transmitter module says "TS2501" and the receiver is "RC 305", I don't have the camera yet but the transmitter module has a microphone on the circuit board. I hooked up the transmitter to power and the receiver is connected to my TV through the red, white, and yellow rca plugs.

I know there won't be video but I can't hear any audio through the TV, I also tried putting it through a Digital Optical Toslink SPDIF Coax to Analog L/R RCA Audio Converter Adapter 3.5, and put the signal through that, it has a 1/8 headphone plug and I tried my ear buds and the TV to listen for audio.

I can't get anything, I'm pretty sure I have the dip switches set correctly after reading many post about that subject. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Tim
