Good Idea. I will give it a try and see what happens. When (if ever) should I look at changing the spur gear?

I did already order the new stuff. I kind of want to replace all the stock AE stuff and get what I want in there. But I have a fleet of cars and trucks so I can always find something to put the motor in.. hehehe

you usually only need to change the spur when you run out of room whit a large pinion or when you don't have gear mesh when you go with a smaller pinion.

Yes Spare parts is a good thing.

I prob jumped the Gun on the motor and ESC but I am trying to complete a five race series. Last Friday I could not even finish a heat with the problems I was having. At least I can throw out my worst race in the series , cuz it was definitely last week.

GL!

I'll probably try to start racing in the summer, did some 19.3's Tuesday in the last layout, I'm thinking that should make me competitive in Rookie???

Sweet ! That is a damn good time for Rookie. I cannot even get past 20's.

I guess that they changed the track again. I was trying to run the Friday series but will not be able to make it tonight or next Friday so I am out..

Got the new motor coming in today and I am hoping to be able to get back out to the track and see how well it works.

Hopefully I will see you there.

Tony..

Sorry to hear about the race series, maybe the next one then! Hope the new motor works out.

I just built a 22 SCT 2.0 and will be out there next Tuesday at lunch trying it out.

I talked to folks at the track and I ended up getting the Jconcept Webs all around.. Their nice but are taking forever to break in.. I would suggest some parking lot runs if you go this route to break them in... Lots of people are using liquid wrench as a "sauce". I tried some but because I broke every race I really could not see how well it worked.. But the fast guys swear by it so it must work.

Wish I coul head out on Tuesday but I have work and then baseball. Very interested to see what changes they did with the track..

I got gold all around. It's what they suggested and since I know nothing I did what they said .....

They are working great as they break in. But are it so good when it's wet.. This could be because they are not fully broken in yet, but I am not sure..

Cool, I bought a set of dirt webs for the 22 SCT 2.0 I just finished building, so we'll see how that goes.

I've also tried AKA soft wishbones (SC), HB beams/full slot pink (buggy), and handlebars (SC).

Whatever you do, don't get Proline MC compound, I had some suburbs SC tires and they do not stick at all at the track.
