First post out of the way.....

I have been reading up with a mind to get a scte kit when I can find one.

I haven't seen anything on the Hitec 8330sh. Seems nice if maybe a little pricey, fast w/ adequate torque?

Anyone ever use or hear of this servo?

HiTech has always been a good brand with quality products, so if you were to choose them, you wont regret it

For the 8330, thespecs are good, maybe a touch on the fast side if you are new to RC.

For a 2wd or 4wd SC truck, .10 seconds is fast enough for most people. If you are running 2 WD than 150-180 oz/in of torque is fine. 4WD may require you to have a little more, say 200 plus just because they are a little heavier and the way they drive...

There is a plethora of options out there. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
