Questions?? Brand New Rovan Baja 5B 30.5cc

Hi guys picked up my Baja today.
Never had one, so have gone out on a limb and bought a pretty descent one.
It's a SikRC Rovan Baja 5B 30.5cc. All that does not really mean a lot to me yet haha.

Anyway. i went through the book and did every step to set up my car as it says.
I had it started after i did all the fiddly bits.
It sat there and used about half a tank of fuel while at idle. (Thats how i was told to use my first tank of juice)

Then it cut out. It just stopped.
So i started it back up, and it just keeps cutting out after about 10-20 seconds of idling.

Any idea?
Thanks

Ok so i think i might of found the problem. I don't think i charged it up enough beforehand. So maybe thats why it was cutting out.

Just took it out for a descent run around the park.
Bloody hell, it was a lot more fun than i thought.
a lot quicker than i thought it would be also.

So as I'm new to all this, i will need a lot f help along the way.
My Baja is a plastic model.
The only extras i bought today when i picked it up was shock socks and a filter sock. As i will be using it a lot on the beach.

What accessories or upgrades do you think i would need to do, if any?

would a stainless bottom guard be a good buy?
maybe a steel roll cage? And some housing to cover in the open roll cage?

Iv'e never had an RC car, so i was also thinking about spare parts, for just in case.
What parts do you have just in case something goes wrong? i was looking at the full screw and bolt kit.

Also what did you lock tight on your Baja?

There is a wealth of knowledge available over at the large scale forums. Just do a google search.

The info there might be helpful as they have a specific Rovan section.
