Been using $10 cheap allen wrenches for the last few months since getting into the hobby. Many stripped screws later I've just bought the Losi locking set from Amain hobbies and oh my god what a difference... Best $54 I've spent on this hobby.

bringing up this old thread .....curious what tools you are all using?
I am looking for a new set, ...want to know if there are any sets you all recommend (this thread is 3+ years old so I am sure new sets are available).

Best Buy, a little short but these are very nice quality tips.

Another vote for MIP. Once you try them you never go back to the other brands, period. I don't mind the plastic handle, it feels great in hand, but I do wish they were color-coded.

Lots of votes for MIP's ...yeah, plastic handles don't bother me, in fact I kind of prefer the feel of plastic in my hand rather than aluminum. I have been using a cheap Integy set, which kind of sucks for the most part. I do have a few random drivers, including a Dynamite driver, -which is actually quite nice for the low price I paid for it.

Okay, I'll have to check out the MIP's ..i would like to get a nice new set of quality tools.

Hudy.. Just expensive is all. MIP (Throp) is good just wish you could replace the tips. For me it's all about the comfort in my hand, some of the brands are just to small, another good one is Align (it's primarily helicopter brand) but a full set for $20 is a pretty deal. Plus you can use them in your drill.

MIP here..... They are very cheap when one factors in that they will last for over 15 years.

To the newbies do not use cheap tools...stripping screws is so aggravating.. If you cannot afford a lot of tools buy at least two MIP tools for your most common sizes.
