Default Best Cleaning solutions

So my son and I spent the day at a local track yesterday and when we got home, our cars were covered with wet clay. Some wiped off most did not. What are some of the better methods of cleaning your cars. Are there any out there that if a little gets on your electronics it won't hurt it. Are there any non RC specific cleaners that work well?

Our clay is kinda tacky and damp too, and it gets on the under belly of the car quite a bit. I just used a damp, but rung-out old terry cloth towel (old shower towels work well)... should whip off with a bit of elbow grease.

Default Elbow Grease

Elbow grease does work, but most of the time it just smears it around more. I want a solution that will cut through it pretty good to get a real good clean. That is why I was looking for a cleaner.

Simple green works pretty well. It's great for the body and tires especially. Depends on the electronics. Sometimes it's better to let it dry and brush it off.
