Default I used the wrong paint. Can the body be saved?

A while back I ended up using Tamiya "for plastics" and a lot of it has chipped off after 1 day of racing.

Can I back it with they correct kind of spray paint?

Or anything else I can do? I'd like to at least touch up everywhere that's chipped off

Pour dot 3 or 4 brake fluid, let it soak 20min. repeat if needed.

Beat it with the handle of a screw driver. Preferably a plastic handled one. Paint flakes right off like a crash.

I have also found that a good blow nozzle and some high pressure from an air compressor works wonders.

I actually used automotive paint on my last body. How you ask? Scotchbrited the whole inside of the body (tons of abrasion), washed thouroughly with soap & water, and applied bullydog adhesion promoter before applying paint. No chips after a whole race night, even though parts of the body are cracked, no paint chippage.
