Hello hows it going guys im new to the forum Im just starting to get back into rc's I bought a early 2000's duratrax evader st off my cousin it has a stock esc and a stock 20t 550 motor for some reason it keeps strippin the trans out ive put every gear and bearing back in it 2 times and it still just keeps clicking really loud on hard hole shots and eventually strippin gears in the trans I tryed adjusting the slipper but now it barley takes of could some let me know on how to make this trans basically bullet proof and let me know what parts I need and where to get them thanks for any information

Hi.. I know a guy that tried racing one of these and blew gears all the time.(sounds like u)
He finally put all metel gears in trans.. they make a Brushless kit.. same with idler gears..Look on Ebay or Amain might find them there..Below are part #..Good luck

Yes they are. I did this also and its the only I could get any playtime.

dcrusan.. I would also REPLACE all bearing in ur trans and ur rear hubs with something besides stock..My local bearing supply has a vast selection of mini bearing (that what they are called under 3/4") im sure Bocca..has them also..

Do I have to have new hubs its gonna be a stock set up
