Default E-Revo differential gear problems

New to Rc cars. Purchased a used E-Revo and I'm having a problem with the differential gear. Installed a rebuild kit for it and ran it for about 10 minutes and heard the same clicking/slipping noise. Not sure what is making it grind the teeth so fast. Should I just purchase a new differential unit instead of a rebuild kit to make sure all parts are there. I installed gears as shown on diagram, but there may be some spacers or something missing of the original that I don't know about. I know that I shouldn't be stripping the gear that fast. Any advice is appreciated.

I have replaced many diffs in mine because of running it on 6 s...the e revos are known for weak rear diffs. Make sure all the parts are accounted for when building a new diff. This is really basic but if you Google it there are forums everywhere about these diff strippers.

You need to shim the diffs. I did a diff in on my Emaxx early on. Fortunately with the emaxx companies like flm make straight up 1/8 scale diff replacements with stronger bulkheads and diff case, i dont know what options you have with the revo, but i have heard of people putting in the losi lst diff; looked like bit of an effort though.

Having said that, if you shim the standard revo diff it will definitely be an improvement. Since i shimmed them my emaxx diff (same diff as revo) i have not had problem for months and i run my emaxx on 6s so its definitely an improvement and i havent needed to look at the 1/8 diffs yet as they have been holding up even though i expectd them to have gone again by now.

Also sorry for wording / spelling, typing on ipad is a pain.
