Default bulb discharger question

I'm planing on building my own bulb discharger. My question is can i use a wire coat hanger to solder the bulbs on?

yes but you will have to strip the epoxy coating off of the wire where you plan to solder it. Try paint thinner or something similar should do the trick. If not get some wire from the local hobby shop its cheap and works great.

Yeah, that should work too, as long as you make sure any coatings that might interfere with the connection to the bulbs is gone....

Are you going to build in a cutoff in your discharger? The reason I say this, going with coat hanger will create resistance.
