Really? Is that the best way? How about pinching the fuel line or plugging the exhaut tip? Will this damage the motor?

i have read sumwhere that pushing the filter in was bad. all the shit stuck the filter caught will be strained into the engine. i think you should cutoff the fuel supply. but then again i dont run nitros so whadda i know

The best way to shut down a nitro engine is have the idle set with your throttle trim. Then all you have to do is turn the trim down it will close the throttle plate all the way and the engine will stop. Thats the way all the nitro plane flyers do it. It's the way I did it when I had planes. Always worked for me.

Thats fine if you dont have a brake on you vehicle. Every time you hit the brake the engine will die. The best way is to plug the exhaust tip. No damage will happen to the engine.

I tried the blocking the Air-Intake method with the filter on and off...

I discovered that with the air-filter off... I burnt my finger. With the air-filter on... my hands got all oily from the air-filter oil. I've looked around and found that the most effective way was to starve the engine of fuel... by pinching the fuel line.

the best way to stop a nitro engine is either to stop the flywheel with the tip of your shoe if you can get to it. this is hard to do for t maxx users or simply to pinch the fuel line. your nitro will idle up and then die within a few seconds.

Dont push the air filter, it forces dirt into the engine. I've always tapped the flywheel or plugged the stinger on the pipe. They say it may cause it to flood, but I never had that problem.

i sometimes use my shoe, or the other end of a screwdriver and press it against the flywheel, stops the engine quick and easy.
