Both can come as kits or RTRs (Ready To Run).
The 8ight can come in both nitro and electric versions.

I'd suggest looking at what runs at your local track (as in how often each class runs) and use that to help make your decision a bit as well.

Since I know you're not a racer, if you're willing to put in the tuning effort and have a place to run it (a residential street is not a good place for anything 1/8th scale), you'd probably enjoy the 8nitro more than the 22t.
