Default When do you need to use voltage regulator?

So when you use lipo rx battery, you will need to use voltage regulator?

Only if you aren’t using high voltage capable servos and receiver, to handle the increased voltage of a 2S lipo receiver pack in a nitro/gas RC. Need to check the specs on each to see if you can get away without it.

Just to add, electric RCs use them occasionally too, some of the latest high power/speed servos draw more power than the regulator-BEC built into (some?) speed controls can provide.
