I was given a 1988 Tamiya Avante. It was missing the ESC. I did a little researching and found that it needed a CPR unit P-100F. I found 1 on ebay. I recieved it in the mail and hooked it all up but I can't get anything out of it. When I turn the switch on it powers up, ( wheels spin/servo turns wheels )
But thats it. No power from the radio to the car. I have tried 3 different radios. I took the crystal out of the esc/reciever and put it in another rc car and it worked. So I know its not the radio. I don't know what else to try, maybe the esc is bad? I was told it worked. Could I have the wrong crystals in? They are green 27.195mhz. Thanks in advance for any help.
