kV is the number of RPM per volt.

A 5700kV motor turns 5,700RPM per volt. With a typical LiPo at 8.4V fully charged, the motor will turn 47,880RPM with no load. A 4600kV motor will turn 38,640RPM. Hence, the 5700kV motor is faster.
