Default transmitter help

Can someone please explain to me in simple terms about "Throttle Deadband" and "Exponential" functions on my JR radio....I would like to set up my radio to the best of it ability..thanks

Throttle dead band is the amount you can move the trigger before the car starts to move. If you have a high end esc, there is usually about 5% of deadband programmed in. This amount feels about right.

Exponential changes the ratio of trigger movement to throttle postition. Not sure which way does what, but if you add some to the radio it will feel a little softer on the bottom end and a little more responsive closer to top end. This seems to help you control wheelspin on slippery tracks.

...right now I'm having trouble with my B4 with 580 Brushless on a clay track...so I would set my radio at negitive value?
