Default What is stock class SCT motor?

Sorry to sound silly but I am trying to get into off road racing and I am a little confused about what is a stock class motor for SCT.
Rules say 27t brushed and 17.5t brushless yet not one SCT sold as a "stock" truck RTR has a motor that exactly fills that requirement.
My understanding is that a lower number like the "stock" 12t brushed motor in a Traxxas would be a faster motor than what is allowed. If that is the case then what is "stock"?

Depends on your track. Some will allow the stock electronics that come with a RTR which may include hotter motors. Some will require the 27t/17.5 motors. Ask your track how they handle RTR vehicles.

The Hpi blitz, the traxxas slash, AE sc10. all those are stock sct motors.

Thanks for the help.
That's what I thought. I figured all RTR's would be the basic truck that would fit that class. Just seems confusing since they don't match the spec.
I bought the Losi XXX-SCT that says it comes with (Motor or Engine:Losi LM-32K performance motor) so does that qualify?

My club allows any brushed RTR motor, or up to 17.5 brushless with no timing advance. Velineons and Reedy brushless sytems get ran in Pro2 Open.
