Default Team Orion Advantage Charger

I just bought a RC10B4.1 with a Reedy LiPo 5000mAh battery with an Team Orion Advantage charger.

I didn't realize the charger was a DC charger. My question is how the heck do I use this thing? The users guide just goes over the menus on the charger. They do not talk about the mechanics of using it.

I have some motorcycle batteries and some deep cycle batteries laying around I could use. I can also plug it in to the car battery.

Is this how I am supposed to make this charger work? Is there a restriction on the DC power source?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated! My 7 year old gets home from school in an hour and I want to try and have this up and running ASAP!

Thanks,

WBG

Yes, you can hook it up to a car battery for now but in the long run, you will need a DC power supply such as this.

Mark,

Thanks for the reply. I tried my Harley Davidson's battery and the charger kept beeping at me as I don't think it had enough amps to run continuously. So what I ended up doing is I took an old power supply from a computer and just rigged it up to provide the power. It is working great right now.

Next issue is that the ESC has the Molex plug on there and the Reedy battery I purchased only has the little banana plug holes. I guess I will be making a trip to the hobby shop tomorrow to get this worked out.

Thanks,

Fred
