Vaccum cleaner?
I've heard the air hose can force dirt into the bearings, what about using a vacuum cleaner? Is there a reason why I've heard no one uses it?

This is an effective way to quickly clean your ride.
Me personally have never had a issue with using an air compressor..My bearings are fine. Plus I dont care cause I use a dollar bearings. But in 6 years of racing off road, this is the first Ive heard of that.

Ya offroad a stiff bristle brush and a compressor a little denatured alcohol for nitro. Road denatured alcohol and a compressor will do it every time.

Bringing back a old thread but after a really dusty day I wanna clean up my sc10, I was using wet ones (like wet tissues), but wasn't achieving much. I don't wanna use water because of the electronics so I wondered whats the quickest easiest way to get rid of dust and dirt.

Have been using a product called Grease Grizzly for some time now and have preferred it over Simple Green cause I felt it does a better job. Unfortunately, it seems like they're no longer producing it anymore.
Has anyone else tried it before? Any other suitable alternatives for cleaning cars?

Something I started recently. Simple Green, big soft scrub brush, Pledge, compressed air
#26
Anyone using other stuff other than Simple Green?
#28
Simple Green and Electronic cleaner works well and in between races just a compressor and a dry paint brush works great.

I will also use some sort of de-greaser with an assortment of paint & tooth brushes. Rinse with water and dry well with compressed air and a little grease in key parts of the drive train.

Do you guys have your electronics attached with servo tape or are you using velcro so that you can pull them/reinstall quickly before/after cleaning?
