Default Question about my setup - Losi SCTE

Hey all! I'm new to the hobby and new to this forum and I need some help. Long story short, my brother in law took me to an indoor track near Salt Lake City, UT and let me drive his spare stadium truck around and I had a blast. 2 weeks later and I just bought my first rc truck, the Losi SCTE (from a member of this forum actually). Anyways, the truck came with some electronics and I wanted to know if I was going to encounter any problems with the electronics working well together. Here's the setup:

CC 1410 3800kv motor
MMP ESC
JR Z9100s servo
Gens ace 2S Lipo 40c
FS-GT3B tx/rx

I've read that certain servos can cause problems with the MMP and was wondering what you guys thought.

Thanks for any help you can give!

ps - The truck should already have the new pins installed so I'm not worried about that.

The setup looks great. If your servos take too much power from your RX, install a $2 capacitor (glitch buster) from radio shack or a Castle 10a BEC.

Should I try to sell the MMP and pick up a MMM or an RX8?

Either of those would be over kill running 2S. Stick with the MMP and get it sorted out if the servos cause probs. A glitch buster cap seems to take care of most of the servo current draw related probs.

Worst case, you'll wind up running a external BEC.

I guess my next question is how do you install a cap? Also, I read that adding 10 - 20% punch control would fix any cogging problems. Does anyone know if that's true or not?

Thanks!

Cap usually plugs into the rcvr (any open slot)....caps generally come with that type plug already installed.

Would there be any problems going with the Mamba Monster besides it being overkill? I think I can pick one up for a decent price. I would rather go that route than fiddeling with one with that may have issues with my servo.

If you can get a better deal on MMM than the MMP and have the room, I wouldn't let potential for servo probs make the decision one way or the other.

Looks like the potential for needing a cap/ext BEC is there with either esc.

Yep my MMM doesn't put out enough power when I run my Savox or Hitec servos. Your JR servo pulls around the same power as my stuff.
