grid dropdown

Will the grid dropdown fit/work on a DX3S? My M8 went up on me and dont have the money to buy a DX3R so was looking into getting a DX3S.

The DX3S is right-hand configuration only, so the dropdown wheel cannot be installed since it doesn't/can't disassemble the same way as the 3R.
