Default Looking for a all terrain rc car

I am looking for a all terrain RC car that can take dirt water snow and a little bit of mud but can go on road and still be competitive and go FAST. I was thinking rally??? Im cool with nitro or electric I have them both rtr or kit is fine.

Budget $600 to $750 including everything I need to get out and drive it.

If you want something that will handle the extreme outdoors, and still be drivable on-road, I'd suggest a 1/8 4WD buggy. You can get Nitro, or Electric, depending on your preference.

Buggies are very capable off-road, being specifically designed for that purpose. You have a good variety of tires to choose from to suit your needs. Throw some street-treads on there, drop your stance, and you can fly on-road.

I find the rally-cars don't have the same suspension travel that a 4WD buggy does, thus limiting them in the off-road capability category.

I'd say you nailed it with this recommendation. I've seen the case in person. A guy at the offroad track running his brushless 1/8th off road. Clearing huge jumps and powering through the track. Then I saw him a week later at a parking lot get together, running street tires, and hitting 70mph+ with his brushless setup.

You'd probably have to go nitro if water and mud running is important. Not too sure how many offer a brushless waterproof system besides traxxas. And there, you won't see the type of street performance as you would an 1/8th scale buggy.

Just shop around, and see what works for ya. Something with a lower-profile and obviously not a studded, or heavily treaded tire. I picked up a set of street tires for my buggy, and any time I want to run on-road, they're perfect!

Something along these lines:

Drop the stance of the buggy, and it's quite capable on-road.

Thumbs up

You need a E Revo Brushless Edition.
Then head over to Hoddyking and pick up a few 5000mAh 2s 25c packs and a basic balence charger
You'll tackel and type of terrain and get down the road pretty fast. After you get the feel for 40mph head back and get some 3s packs

The Tamiya DF-03RA is basically a more beefy TT-01 (taller suspension, etc.
) Still very customizable and it comes with knobby rally tyres on it

Cool

I am in the same boat. Was thinking Citron, Lancea, Subaru, Mitsubishi, or an old Audi for a WRC look and drive.

My question is this if I buy a 4WD Buggy lower the stance is the 1/8th shells for cars going to fit on the chassis?

Also is there any suggestions that any one has for a buggy?

Was looking for around the same budget of 575 to 700 for everything in Nitro. But I love building and working with my hands so would love a kit I can build and not a R2R setup.
