Default Nitro Rustler

I'm new to RC, just bought a Traxxas Nitro Rustler. Any mods that anyone can recommend? And does anyone know if I can get a short course body to fit my truck? Thanks for any help, I know I'll appreciate it!

I doubt you'll get one to fit. A typical short course body is longer than your chassis. It would not line up at all and would be too big.

Long term, if you're using the ez start, consider getting a separate glow plug igniter. Taking that load off the ezstarter improves its performance in cranking. The glow plug side is usually what fails in the ezstart wand anyway.

+1 to Duster.

Additionally, you can eventually do away with the wand completely and convert to a pull start. It's much easier IMO to just carry around the glow plug ignitor. Also, get some RPM parts all around. A-arms and front bumper. You can upgrade the steering servo to something a little better and move the stock steering servo to the throttle.

Just remember to use after-run oil after each time you run it. Depending on what you wanna do with it, you can change out the stock pinion gear to 22T for more top speed or 18T for wheel-on-demand acceleration. The stock gearing is actually pretty good. Toss the included 72T spur on there from the get-go though. The 20/72 combo is pretty good.
