Default newb question battery??

I have a 6 cell 7.2 1200mah bat, do I have to stay with a 1200mah or can I go with some thing higher like 3000mah??

The only consideration you have to make is that Current and Voltage are relative in batteries. If you increase the current, the charged battery will produce more voltage.

For most RC cars, electric I assume, this isnt a problem.

what are you using this battery for? I run a 3800mAh in my Tamiya's. higher mAh just means more run time ( the voltage stays 7.2v)

Just to back up The Hawaiian, he's right. At a point the cells get physically bigger and fit might be and issue but not until like 4200mah.

As long as you can get a 6 cell pack to fit, you're good. Running 6 cells the voltage will stay the same as its been and the higher capacity (mah) will just mean a little more punch and mor run time.

Put a multimeter across a charged 4000 and a 1200 and you'll see what mean.

I know there most likely will be a difference in voltage but not enough that it should a problem, I don't see it as an issue.
