Default First time at the track...

...and I forget my battery bar. No one else is running a 4x4 Slash. Maybe next week.

Hey, happens to the best of us. In one of the biggest races in my local track's history (only opened in 2008), I forgot my charger. I'm lucky that is the track closest to me (only 10 minutes away).

Man it was a horrible day all around, then that. Get there, sign up, finish a rough job on my truck just to get it running. And nothing. I had been working on it the majority of the day so I can get to the track. Well, like I said, next week.

That sucks. I've been there but something as simple as a battery strap can be either bought at the shop or fashioned some other way. Cut a couple slits in the sides of the tray and use zip ties or velcro maybe! It's all about innovating.

I almost flipped me car upside down trying to find something. lol. No wire ties, no velcro, no servo tape. All the important little things were left at home. Maybe I'll make a list. hahaha. Also, it's a new track. I don't think they have anything there for sale yet.

make a simple quick checklist and keep it in your tool box or better yet next to your radio or car. you'll be amazed how many times the checklist saves the day.

need help choosing what to carry my stuff in. noticed talking about going to the track and was just thinking my slash gets thrown on my back seat with radio and charger and battery (unprofessional i know). so what would be good to get to carry my stuff in? i dont race (yet atleast) and want maybe two things at the most to carry (one per hand) a bag for radio and car (atleast) and a toolbox? anyone know a good one in particular?

As far as a toolbox you may want to take a look at the plano 1374 tackle box it has 4 large removable trays and a top storage area good for tools parts and what not sells for about 40.00. Great for the race track

i forgot my radio once. another time, i showed up with the wrong truck. as for a box, i went to home depot and got a carry tool box, was big enough for everything except my car. the idea with the checklist is great. ima start doing that.
